I designed this coat with everyone in mind. It is the most forgiving pattern and needs very little fitting.
The gathers coming from the yoke gives ample room for larger figures and yet is very slimming. It works well too for the slimmer figure.
Wear it belted. Add patch rather than in-seam pockets.
An extremely cosy coat!
This original pattern does not include cutting out layouts or a guide to fabric requirements. All later patterns include all the features of any other commercially available pattern.

The price reflects the fact that for this particular pattern, cutting out layouts are not yet included.
Suggestions for this Lovely Coat
This coat will make up in a variety of fabrics. I would love to make it in velvet. Soft leather or suede would be wonderful. Any soft woolen weave but use a lightweight because of the gathers.
It's great fun when made as a reversible coat. Line to the edges and topstitch all round.
This pattern would make a lovely Evening Coat, in velvet or silk perhaps, over a long red-carpet evening gown.
Any other suggestions?
